Chinatown Mooncake Tour, August 2008
A Street Barber with his old fashioned barber chair that's chained to the wall. He's been in the same location for decades. Street vendors are not actually allowed anymore but somehow he's managed to fall through the cracks.  For only $5 you get a hair cut, nasal- hair trim, ear-hair trim, shave, and massage!
One of the very few original hand-carvers left in Chinatown. They carve the wooden statues used in in temples. The detail is added by mixing sandalwood with water which is then piped onto the carving, much like frosting or decorating a cake.
People come from all over Singapore for the wonderful pastries and treats this bakery makes. They made the Mooncakes  and peanut & sesame treats that we tried on the tour.
